Buttermere handmade felt vase is inspired by the earthy tones and the majestic landscape of the Cumbrian Lake District. This is the first piece in a new collection of handmade felt vessels. A totally unique piece, created using a traditional wet felting method and designed to stand alone as a tactile, piece of textile art. All my handmade felt vessels can be used to display flowers or seed heads too. Simply place a recycled jam jar or cut down plastic bottle inside to hold water, then fill with your favourite blooms. I chose daffodils here as a nod to Cumbrian poet William Wordsworth who was born nearby. This one of a kind felt vase measures approximately 22cm wide x 19cm high.
